Qatar Emir in Cairo over tutor's death

Cairo: Qatar’s Emir Shaikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani had visited Egypt this week to offer condolences over the death of his teacher, reported the semi-official newspaper Al Ahram.

It added that Shaikh Hamad had made a two-hour trip to the country to visit the family of his primary school teacher Ahmad Mansour upon learning of his death.

The visit came a few days after Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak went to Qatar and met Shaikh Hamad in a sign of a thaw in ties between the two Arab countries.
