Muscat: Police on Sunday arrested two Arab-Africans for allegedly swindling an Omani of his 85,000 riyals.

The alleged scamsters conned the victim into investing in a business, according to the police. The victim later discovered that he had been duped by the duo after he paid 85,000 riyals in cash.

The man reported the case to Bausher Police Station of Muscat governorate. Police after an intense manhunt arrested the two perpetrators.

The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.

Police have advised Omanis to exercise caution with regards to money transaction as fraud cases have shown an increase in recent times.
