Two killed in Oman road accidents
A toddler and an octogenarian were killed in two incidents in Oman, according to Royal Oman Police

Muscat: A toddler and an octogenarian were killed in two incidents in Oman, according to Royal Oman Police (ROP) press release Saturday.
A driver failed to notice a two-year-old Omani child in front of his own house in Jalan Bani Bu Ali in the eastern region of the country. The Omani driver ran his saloon car over the toddler, who was rushed to a nearby health centre but pronounced brought dead.
In the industrial port town of Sohar in northern Oman, a son knocked off his 85-year-old father, who was resting outside his house.
Meanwhile, the statistics released by the ROP revealed that 22 people were killed due to road accidents in a week that ended last Friday. About 20 people are seriously injured among 164 injured in 153 accidents.
