Muscat: Oman's central region, Khasab and Bukha, on Wednesday experienced light to medium rains even as the Directorate General of Meteorology and Air Navigation Department forecast rains in the northern parts, as well as Muscat in next two days.

The forecast shows that the northern parts will be affected by a state of weather instability that will last up to mid next week due to the air depression in the upper layer of the atmosphere.

The depression has impacted Musandam on Wednesday and the weather will gradually move to partially cloudy on Thursday and Friday in Northern Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Southern Al Batinah and A'Dhahirah A'Dakhiliyah and Muscat with a possibility of light to moderate rain, which may be associated with thunder and active winds in limited areas in these governorates.
