Muscat: A top class horsemanship and races were on view as Queen Elizabeth II enjoyed the horse show with Sultan Qaboos Bin Saeed on Saturday at the Al Adiyat horse race track in Seeb.

The Royal Cavalry horsemen and horsewomen put up a number of thrilling performances, including military procession of carriages and mounted riders, combined horses display, musical display on coaches, traditional equestrian display, dancing horses display, vaulting display.

At one stage the horse riders created a pyramid and jointly hoisted Oman and British flags atop the pyramid while riding on horses.

The festival also included Troika display, mounted bands procession, children's military parade, skill-at-arms display, sword skills art and arrow shooting.

Then there were races across the distances of 1,100 metres and 2,100 metres.

The Queen was accompanied by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, during the horse show that was also attended by the members of Omani Royal Family, Ministers and other dignitaries.
