Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) Coast Guard unit have foiled another attempt by infiltrators to enter Oman illegally through the sea route, according to a press release Wednesday.
The Coast Guard arrested 258 infiltrators in the Omani territorial waters as they were trying to enter the country along the long coastline on the north of the country.
“These infiltrators pose big threat to the country’s security and some of them are also behind the increasing crime activities across the country,” a spokesperson said. The ROP have urged residents not to employ illegal residents not to give them accommodation.
