Muscat: The Sultan Qaboos Military College (SQMC) at the Royal Army of Oman (RAO) on Thursday held a mobilisation exercise with live ammunition for the cadet officers.
The exercise took place on RAO exercise fields under the auspices of Nasr Bin Hamoud Bin Ahmad Al Kindi, Secretary General of the Royal Court Affairs.
The exercise was held with the support of RAO’s other brigades, formations and units with air support from the Royal Air Force of Oman, the Royal Navy of Oman, Engineering Services at the Ministry of Defence, The Sultan’s Special Force and the Royal Oman Police.
The exercise was attended by the Chief of Staff of Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), a number of SAF commanders, other military and security services, senior RAO offices, officials and SAF personnel, according to Oman News Agency.
