Muscat: Muscat will host Gulf Eco 2012, an exhibition on environment and climate change, from May 15-17 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.

The Oman International Trade and Exhibition (OITE) and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs are hosting the three-day environment event that is aimed at attracting government officials, industry experts, businessmen and companies from various environment conservation and protection sectors.

"Gulf Eco 2012 is a unique exhibition where environmental and sustainability will be core for local and regional businesses and share their views and ideas to create an eco-friendly and sustainable lifestyle and economy," said Ammar Ahmad, Project Manager, OITE.

He added that the event will also provide solutions to conserve and protect the environment, which include environmental and pollution control devices, recycling and re-use systems, advanced warning systems, waste management, solutions for biosphere and marine environment, new alternative resources, green technology and many latest technologies that will help in reducing environment pollution and develop a green and peaceful ecosystem.
