Muscat: The Royal Oman Police have arrested four suspects from Muscat on the charges of possessing and trafficking in narcotics substances.

The four, also charged for abuse of narcotic substances, were caught red handed. “The police caught them with a large quantity of morphine and cash that they earned from sale of drugs,” a spokesman for the ROP’s Public Relations Department said.
It was also clear that the accused has ties to an international network of drug smuggling.
“The four accused had entered Oman illegally and their international link in drug smuggling has been established after their interrogation,” he added.
The four will be tried in a court of law.
Meanwhile, the police in Nizwa arrested three Asians for bootlegging. “The three were found in possession of a illegal alcohol,” he said, adding that the police in a raid on their residence found large quantity of alcohol.
