Muscat: Five people died in four different accidents while 11 others were injured in 12 accidents across Oman on Tuesday, according to the Royal Oman Police.

A head-on collision in Jalan Bani Bu Ali killed two people while a vehicle hit a stationary object in Ibri and the driver of the vehicle succumbed to injuries due to the impact.
A pedestrian was run over in Sohar while a driver was killed and his car veered off the road in Oman’s Dhofar region in the south.
Meanwhile, the police statistics revealed that 85 people died last month in 612 accidents .
The police has urged motorists to be careful on the roads and follow traffic rules. The police also advised motorists to avoid dangerous overtaking.
