Muscat: Queen Elizabeth II, who is expected to arrive in Muscat on Thursday evening, will attend the Royal Cavalry Horse Show on Saturday as part of Oman's 40th National Day Celebrations.

The British monarch, who is attending Oman's 40th anniversary celebrations of the National Day at the invitation of Sultan Qaboos Bin Saeed, is accompanied by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

She will arrive in Muscat after a two-day visit to the UAE. Queen Elizabeth II will attend an official banquet at the impressive Al Alam Palace in old Muscat on Friday evening after attending the welcome coffee ceremony at Al Alam Palace.

She will also attend the opening of Tate Exhibition at the palace in Muscat.
