Muscat: Oman police have caught a drug peddler, who also possessed live ammunition at the time of his arrest, according to a Royal Oman Police (ROP) press release today.

The ROP officers at the Directorate General of Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances raided the residence of the Omani suspect in South Mabela area in Muscat after a tip-off that the accused was selling drugs in the Seeb area of the capital city.
The r raiding police party found that the accused had hidden a large amount of hashish in his car parked outside the house.
The policemen also found a belt that contained 73 live bullets and mobile phones used for criminal activities by the peddler.
The accused has been referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigations before producing in the court for trial.
