Muscat: The Omani government-owned Oman Establishment for Press, Publication and Advertising, has come out with a book on the country's monarch in Malayalam, a language spoken in the southern Indian state of Kerala.

The Malyalam language book, 'The Sultan; A Farsighted Statesman; A Philanthropist', is written by Kabeer Yousuf, who is a staff reporter of government-owned English daily, Oman Daily Observer.

The 250-page book will be released next month to coincide with Oman's 40th National Day.

The book is divided into 40 different parts and each focuses on a different phase of the Omani leader's life.

The book will be distributed free of cost.
