Wife gets blackmailed over alimony in Kuwait
Police investigate case of husband who allegedly threatened to post online "intimate moments" with ex-wife recorded on video
Manama: Kuwait police are looking into the case of a husband who allegedly threatened to post intimate videos of his ex-wife on the internet if she insisted on alimony.
According to the complaint filed in Hawalli, the couple recorded "intimate moments" during their blissful days, but, following deep divergences, the husband used them to blackmail his former wife into dismissing a ruling granting her alimony payments.
Last month, a Kuwaiti was blackmailed into paying KD1,000 after he undressed before a web cam while chatting presumably with a girl.
The Kuwaiti told the police he befriended a woman in a chat room who said she wanted to see his body.
