Manama: The three Kuwaiti siblings who were rescued in the Uludag ski resort near Bursa, Turkey, are recuperating in their hotel, Kuwait's ambassador has said.

Abdullah, Fatima and Ahmad, aged between 19 and 23, were saved by a Turkish gendarme rescue team after they lost their way as they were skiing in the fog and blizzard that enveloped the mountains.

"They are fine and have left the hospital," Abdullah Al Dowaikh said. "They underwent tests and were allowed to go back to their hotel. They had lost their way while they were skiing because of the blizzard. The company that rented out ski equipment alerted the police after employees noticed that the three siblings were late in returning to the resort," he said in remarks published by Arabic daily Al Rai.

The Uludag skiing area has 30 km of slopes, including 15 easy, 12 medium and three difficult.
