Manama: Two Kuwaiti lawmakers on Tuesday filed a motion to grill the prime minister Shaikh Nasser Al Mohammad Al Sabah.

MPs Ahmad Al Saadoun and MP Abdul Rahman Al Anjari filed the motion minutes after the new cabinet took the oath before the parliament.

Ten opposition MPs walked out of the session before all the ministers, except the defense minister who is on a mission abroad, swore to abide by the constitution and serve the country. The opposition had repeatedly said that it would not endorse the cabinet if the "crisis ministers" were reappointed. Nine of the former cabinet ministers were kept in the new formation announced on Sunday.

In their motion, Al Saadoun and Al Anjari said that they would quiz the prime minister on the Zain telecommunication company, environmental compensations, Abu Futair irregularities and the national development plan.
