Manama: Kuwait is keen on bolstering relations and exchange with all Indian states, and values its relationship with India, the Kuwaiti Ambassador to India Sami AlSulaiman has said.

The remarks, reported in a statement issued by the embassy on Monday, were made during the ambassador’s meeting with the Chief Minister of Maharashtra,Prithviraj Chavan, in Mumbai, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary of the Maharashtra Government Swadheen S. Kshatriya, Home Secretary Amitabh Rajan, and Secretary to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ashish Kumar Singh.

Al Sulaiman expressed Kuwaitis’ pride in their ages-long relationship with the Indian city, recalling many years of strong trade exchange between Kuwait and India that had a lasting impression and effects on all aspects of life in Kuwait.

Along with expressing keenness to bolster relations with Indian states, the envoy presented proposals to the Indian officials to help encourage cooperation in several areas, the official news agency reported.

Chief Minister Chavan expressed keenness on joint action in the interest of both peoples and provided details on feasible investment opportunities in his state.
