Manama: Kuwait’s Emir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the current chair of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) rotating presidency, on Monday chaired a meeting of the GCC foreign ministers.

The meeting held in Kuwait City was attended by Qatari Emir Shaikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Kuwait News Agency (Kuna) reported.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Shaikh Sabah Al Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah later said the meeting was part of GCC efforts to step up integrated coordination and consultation, the official news agency said.

During the meeting, they discussed ways and means of bolstering cooperation and consultations among all the member states and exchanged views on the latest regional developments and ways to deal with them in the interests of the Gulf countries, Shaikh Sabah said.
