The statement was made at the United Nations Human Rights Council’s review of Pakistan’s human rights situation, as reported by the Kuwait News Agency. Kuwait’s permanent representative to the body, Malek Hussain Al Wazzan, stressed Pakistan’s need to “continue its efforts against social inequality and poverty” to achieve the Millennium Development Goals, adding that Kuwait had always been concerned about Pakistan’s annual report on the issue.
