Domestic helper dies in unassisted home birth
The sponsor told the police that she had not been aware of the helper’s pregnancy

Manama: An Asian domestic helper has died after delivering a baby without assistance at the home of her employer in Kuwait.
According to local Arabic daily Annahar, the employer upon hearing the cries of a baby from the helper’s room opened the door and was shocked to see her lying in a pool of blood.
The employer called the police and an ambulance was dispatched. The paramedics succeeded in saving only the baby who was taken to hospital.
The sponsor told the police that she had not been aware of the helper’s pregnancy.
