Cabinet ratifies key US nuclear deal
Earlier this year, the two countries signed an agreement to cooperate in developing a civilian nuclear energy programme in the UAE.
Abu Dhabi: The Cabinet has approved the cooperation agreement between the UAE and the United States on peaceful uses of nuclear energy.

The agreement comes within the framework of the UAE's nuclear programme for peaceful purposes.
It was endorsed at a Cabinet meeting chaired by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
The Cabinet condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression on Al Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem. It denounced the incursion by Israeli forces into the Al Aqsa Mosque compound and attacks on worshippers as "a flagrant violation of the feelings of Muslims worldwide".
The Cabinet reiterated its condemnation and rejection of illegitimate Israeli measures in occupied Jerusalem which aims at obscuring the Arab and Islamic identity of the holy city and changing its historical and religious landmarks.
The Cabinet also condemned the series of bombings which rocked Baghdad yesterday and led to the death of scores of innocent civilians and deplored such inhumane acts committed against Iraqi civilians, including children, women and old people.
It called on rival parties in Iraq to resort to reason and place the higher national interests above other considerations in order to preserve Iraq's Arab identity and protect its human and financial capabilities.
The Cabinet also approved a federal bill to end begging and eliminate its negative impact on the community through strict punitive measures.
