Weapon ship seizure denied
Alleged report claimed boat carried pistols, assault rifles
The Qatari denial was made during contacts between security officials in both countries, it said.
Media in the region published the allegation based on a report posted by a news site that claimed the ship was carrying 50 handguns, three Kalashnikovs and several hand grenades and that its captain told the Qatari authorities that he was trading in weapons. The report did not mention the name of the beneficiary in Bahrain.
