Manama: Bahrain has never seen something like it.

The dream-like atmosphere created by Slava’s snow show under the magic touch of Russian clown Slava Polunin and his troupe of clowns has succeeded to captivate Bahrain’s children and adults alike and take them to a world of wonderment and fantasy.

The visual masterpiece is a combination of traditional and contemporary theatrical clowning arts within a stunning spectacle.

The show is part of Bahrain’s Summer Festival.

Since its inception in 1993, Slava’s snow show has performed to over three million people in more than 120 cities and 30 countries. The show won the Time Out, Olivier and Drama Desk awards for the most unique theatrical experience.

Influenced by artists like Chaplin, Marcel Marceau and Engibarov, Polunin and his company have taken clowning out of the world of the circus, and brought it to theatre lovers, fellow practitioners and families worldwide.

Manama, the 2012 Arab Culture Capital, has hosted several events that celebrate all aspects of Arab culture.

The Spring Festival held in March brought to Bahrain international performers, including Julio Iglesias and George Benson.
