Manama: Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI) on Friday said that September 30 would be the final date for the submission of complaints.

The BICI, mandated to "investigate and report on the events that occurred in Bahrain in February and March and their consequences, said that it had received more than 2,500 complaints since it started its probe in July.

"All the complaints are being examined and the cases investigated according to the commission mandate," the commission said in Manama. "The final report is due to be submitted on October 30 to HM King Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa and will be made public in its entirety."

The high-profile five-member international commission is also mandated to make recommendations as it may deem appropriate.

Several Bahraini societies and groups from a wide political and religious spectrum have been urging their followers and supporters to file strongly-evidenced complaints with the commission to support their allegations ahead of its much-anticipated report.
