Bollywood sensation Sunidhi Chauhan is scheduled to light up the festive season in Bahrain with a 90 minute concert later this month, it was announced on Thursday.

As a tribute to the Indian festival of Dussehra, a dandiya party with a special DJ, chart-busting dandiya numbers and live percussion beats, will follow the concert, set for September 30.

Sunidhi, whose husky velvet voice has rocked fans with hits ranging from Mehboob Mere in Fiza to Aisa Jadoo Dala Re in Khakee, will perform with a six-member troupe at the Grand Ambassador Suite of the Diplomat Radisson SAS.

The show is aptly titled "Celebrate Sunidhi Live" and it is the first time Sunidhi will be performing in Bahrain.

The show is being organised by Response in collaboration with 360 Degrees, the event division of Times Group, India, event managers who are responsible for the Miss India Universe/World pageants and the Filmfare Awards in India.

More than 1,000 dandiya lovers and Bollywood music fans are expected to attend the show, according to Response.

"What will make our show different is that we also have other stars - of the culinary kind," said Usha Ramesh, Chief Operating Officer.

"The Celebrate Sunidhi Live package will emphasise the good things of life - music, dance, food and fine beverages. We shall be flying down two top chefs who come with a heritage of authentic Lucknawi cuisine."
