Islamabad: An official delegation from Bahrain will visit Islamabad this week to take part in bilateral consultations.

The delegation will be led by Shaikha Rana Bint Eisa Al Khalifa head of Afro-Asian region for the Ministry Foreign Affairs of Bahrain.

The talks during the delegation’s July 12-13 visit will focus on expanding all areas of bilateral ties with special emphasis on economic and trade cooperation, said Javed Malek, Ambassador of Pakistan to Bahrain.

In addition to the formal consultations, the delegation will call on the Special Assistant to PM Tariq Fatemi and Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry.

The delegation will also exchange views on the first Pakistan-Bahrain Business Opportunities Conference due to take place later this year, the ambassador said.

The ambassador said another important feature of the visit would be to finalise agreement on establishment of King Hamad University of Nursing in Islamabad as a gift from Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa.
