Bahrain confirms seven new cases of swine flu
Bahrain: The Bahraini Ministry of Health has confirmed seven new cases of swine flu, local Arabic daily Al Ayam reported.
Three of the newly registered cases are pilgrims who had just returned from Umrah. The other cases were of travellers from Thailand and India.
Bahrain has a total number of 14 registered cases thus far, while the overall number of registered cases since last May has reached 51 said the daily.
Arab health ministers are to convene for an emergency session in Cairo on Wednesday to discuss the spread of the disease across the region and the best means of combating it.
