ABU DHABI: The Federal Authority for Human Resources (FAHR) announced that the New Year holiday for 2016, which falls on Friday, January 1, will not be transferred to another day.

Private sector

Meanwhile, private sector employees working on Friday, January 1, will get a paid holiday, according to a circular issued by Saqr Gobash, Minister of Labour.

On the occasion, the authority and Gobash congratulated President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, Emiratis and residents.
