Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, issued Decree No 17 of 2017 forming the Board of Trustees of the UAE Food Bank under the chairpersonship of Shaikha Hind Bint Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum. The Director-General of Dubai Municipality will serve as the Vice-Chairman of the Board.
The board is comprised of the Director-General of the Community Development Authority, the Director-General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, the Director-General of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, the CEO of Emirates Flight Catering, the CEO of Dubai Media Incorporated’s TV and radio sector, the CEO of UAE Food Bank, a representative from Carrefour UAE, and a representative from the Jumeirah Group. The board has a renewable term of three years.
The decree is valid from the date of issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
