Man falls to death from Sharjah building

Sharjah: A 57-year-old man died after falling from the balcony of an high-rise apartment in Sharjah on Wednesday evening.

Police were called to the spot after eyewitnesses saw the man falling to the ground.

A Sharjah Police official told Gulf News the Indian man died instantly.

“Police and ambulances rushed to the scene of the incident after police operation room received reports about the incident around 7pm,” officials said.

The man fell from the balcony of an apartment on a high-rise building located in Al Butaina area. The was body moved to Al Kuwaiti Hospital at around 7.50pm, then to forensic laboratory for autopsy.

Al Gharb Police have launched an investigation into the incident to determine whether it was an accident or suicide.
