Police are in full preparation to welcome the Eid holidays and ensure safety in all public areas
Dubai: Major General Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Acting Director of Dubai Civil Defence, said the police force is fully prepared to ensure the safety of areas that usually attract a crowd during the holidays such as malls, arcades, hotels, cinemas, theatres and parks.
Maj Gen Al Matroushi urged security officials in these public areas to ensure all safety procedures were in place in order to minimise accidents during the holidays. The police also urged security staff to provide appropriate manpower in order to handle any emergencies efficiently.
Entertainment provided in big tents should also be conducted according to the safety rules and regulations provided by Dubai Police.
Members of the public were also urged to take appropriate precautions at home, especially in the kitchen, by checking all electric equipment, gas stoves and other domestic appliances that could be hazardous. Police also urged parents to be very careful about their children’s wellbeing during the holiday period, whether at home or outdoors.
Drivers should abide by traffic rules and avoid speeding and other driving hazards in order to ensure safety on roads, police warned.
