Safe & Sound
BurJuman’s Safe & Sound is a breast cancer awareness campaign that has partnered with Al Jalila Foundation to launch a new app.
The app will replace the traditional Safe & Sound Walkathon and allow participants to track their progress when running and walking. Participants can also donate money directly to Al Jalila Foundation and the Brest Friends support group via the app’s built-in payment gateway.
Not limited to individuals alone, participants can walk or donate on behalf of an organisation as well, thereby allowing corporations to support Safe & Sound as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
If the total distance walked through the app reaches the 50,000km milestone this year, BurJuman has pledged to donate a further Dh100,000 to the cause.
