Emirates Aviation College unveiled its new name, Emirates Aviation University, at the Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) yesterday. This marks the first official appearance of the college’s new identity as a full-fledged university. A new campus is expected to be completed by June.
The new academic status was approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
“Emirates Aviation College was already functioning as a University with its wide range of programmes and high rigour of education in multiple disciplines,” Professor Ahmad Al Ali, Vice-Chancellor of Emirates Aviation University, said. “This new academic title will enable us to expand our international reach and meet the changing needs of the aviation and education industries at a time when the demand for both is expanding globally,” Al Ali added.
Emirates Aviation University will be present at Getex till Friday. Additionally, it will host an Open Day for the public on April 19, where prospective students can experience the programmes offered.
