Dubai: The Dubai Met office is warning motorists and sailors to watch out again for early morning fog patches on Sunday from 5 am to 7am, which could reduce visibility considerably.

The higher than normal humidity of nearly 70 per cent and light sea breezes will again bring moisture inland, said Giorgio Allessio, duty forecaster.

It was very foggy early morning today (on Saturday) till 9 am with visibility dropping down to 400 meters in Sharjah and even down to 200 meters at Al Minhad airbase. "It did not affect flight operations and no flights were diverted," said the forecaster.

Motorists said the Dubai-Al Ain road was bad early morning, but Dubai Airport recorded visibility of 2000 meters.

Abu Dhabi police has advocated that all cars should have fog lights after a horrendous pile up at Ghantoot bridge early last year left four dead and dozens injured.

Fog was fairly widespread both across the Central and Eastern parts of UAE due to the humid air mass sitting over these places since the past two days.

Offshore there is a risk of strong easterly winds over the next two days. Day time temperatures will be 32 degree Celsius, while nights will be cooler but humid at 24 degree Celsius.
