Dubai: The Dubai Government Excellence Programme has announced that the 10th edition of the Dubai Forum for Government Best Practices will be held at Dubai World Trade Centre on November 7 and 8 under the theme “An Inspirational Government Shapes the Future and Achieves Happiness”.
The event features keynote addresses by high-level speakers, including Uhoud Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State of Happiness, and Abdul Aziz Turkistani, former Saudi ambassador to Japan. More than 2,000 leaders and experts in the public sector are expected to attend.
The forum will host international speakers and experts in government sectors to highlight the professional practices that have elevated the quality and efficiency of government work. Under this year’s theme, the event will also drill down into what inspires officials to marshal energy and enthusiasm for their work so that they shape the future and deliver happiness to the people they serve.
The forum will also showcase a variety of outstanding projects and initiatives that will continue Dubai’s success in its march to the future. Across both days of the forum, speakers will highlight achievements made at all levels of government.
On the second day of the forum, the winners of the annual Dubai Government Excellence Programme Awards will lead panel sessions and lectures, providing in-depth experiences and insights that earned them top honours at the 20th Dubai Government Excellence Programme Awards.
A mainstay of the Dubai Government Excellence Programme, the awards recognise outstanding merit in an array of categories, including best entity in service provision, best entity in the field of smart government, best entity in the field of innovation, best achievement of Dubai Plan 2021, the Happiest Environment, best government entity for people with determination, Dubai Government medal winners and innovative employees.
Abdullah Al Shaibani, secretary-general of the Dubai Executive Council, said: “The 10th edition of the Dubai Forum for Government Best Practices is a testament to the success of the forum in promoting the concepts of innovation, creativity and quality in government work. In this year’s edition, we focused the theme on the vision of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in shaping the future, accelerating access to it and achieving happiness.”
Dr Ahmad Al Nuseirat, general coordinator of the Dubai Government Excellence Programme, said: “This year’s forum is an opportunity for all participating government entities to consolidate the concepts of an inspiring government and shape the future of the industry by adopting innovative practices.”
