Student jailed for beating cross-dresser, tying him up and stealing his Dh52,000 and iPhone
Dubai: A male visitor, who wore a woman’s outfit and used his cousin’s passport to book a hotel room to have sex with a male student, has been jailed for 18 months.
The Filipino cross-dresser, F.V., cross-dressed as he impersonated his female cousin and went to the hotel where he had sex with the Turkish student, M.B., in April 2015.
M.B. was jailed for 18 months for having consensual sex with F.V. and assaulting the latter and stealing his Dh52,000 from the room’s safe in Al Barsha.
Meanwhile the Dubai Court of First Instance acquitted 24-year-old F.V. of using Facebook to pose as a woman and lure a 20-year-old male student to have sex with him at a hotel room.
Records said F.V. created a woman’s account on Facebook and pretended to be one before he enticed M.B. to have sex with him.
F.V. wore a female outfit, impersonated his female cousin and booked a hotel room in his name [as a female], then met M.B. and had sex with him.
M.B. and another juvenile suspect, U.E. were said to have assaulted F.V. and robbed him.
Presiding judge Mohammad Jamal said in court: “The defendants will be deported following the completion of their punishments. Meanwhile the first accused’s [F.V.] civil lawsuit has been referred to the Dubai Civil Court.”
The Filipino had lodged a civil lawsuit in which he is seeking to have his stolen money and belongings returned.
The duo pleaded not guilty.
Prosecutors said the Filipino seduced the Turkish man and encouraged him to have sex with him via Facebook, but the court cleared F.V. on that count. M.B. and U.E. [who is being prosecuted before the Juveniles Court] beat F.V., tied him up and stole his money and iPhone.
The Filipino testified that U.E. called and offered to have sex with him for Dh1,500.
“We met in the hotel at 6pm. When I opened the door for him, he showed me what he claimed to be a police ID. He said I was wanted over cocaine charges. He ordered me to open the safe to check if I had hidden any drugs. I refused to comply. When I opened the door to run away, M.B., who was standing outside the door, prevented me. They beat me up, tied me and stole my phone and the cash from the safe and fled. I crawled to the door and asked the cleaners for assistance. They stole my cousin’s passport,” F.V. said.
A policeman said they arrested M.B. shortly after they identified him.
M.B. admitted to prosecutors that he had sex with F.V.
Sunday’s ruling remains subject to appeal within 15 days.
