Last minute information on street closures, best places to watch New Year’s Eve fireworks and the best New Year’s Eve parties in town:

Traffic plan for Burj Khalifa fireworks


4pm

Al Asayel Street will be closed to traffic and will be used as a path of public transport and VIPs.


6pm


Al Sa’ada Road will be closed, as well as the road from Murooj Rotana leading to the Burj Khalifa area.

Between 6 and 8pm

The Boulevard Street will be closed, depending on the overall situation of traffic.

 

8pm


The Zabeel intersection in the same street will be closed down. All roads to  Downtown Dubai, Burj Khalifa will be closed from 8pm, 31 December to 12.30 am January 1.

From 10pm


The roundabout leading to Emirates Towers from Al Sa’ada road will be closed.


From 10pm


Burj Khalifa Metro station will be closed.

Public paths

There are three tracks for the public from nearby metro stations to the Burj Khalifa area.

The first track, from the Burj Khalifa Metro Station, will be 850 meters long

The second one, from the Financial Center Metro Station, is 1550 meters long

The third track, from the Business Bay Metro Station,  is 1,500 meters long.

Separate tracks for families, bachelors

There are separate paths for families and people with bookings from the Burj Khalifa and the Business Bay metro stations, said the police chief, while there will be a paths bachelors from the DIFC and Business Bay metro stations.
