Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, launched the Waldorf Astoria-Dubai Palm Jumeirah, in Eastern Crescent of Jumeirah Palm, on Wednesday evening.
Shaikh Mohammad was accompanied by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates airline and Group.
Shaikh Mohammad toured the hotel’s facilities and congratulated Khalaf Al Habtoor, Chairman of Al Habtoor Group on the luxury hotel, the latest addition to the group’s portfolio.
He was briefed by Mohammad Khalaf Al Habtoor, Deputy Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, about the hotel which is built on a 550,000 square-foot area. It is managed by Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, the luxury brand of Hilton Worldwide.
The Dh2.5 billion hotel provides a magnificent setting for a variety of business meetings, corporate events, product launches and grand celebrations, and offers personalised services. Present were Shaikhs, ministers and senior officials.
