The UAE-based conglomerate S.S. Lootah Group announced on Wednesday the launch of Lootah Hotel Management, an Islamic hospitality management arm to provide consultancy services to hospitality investors in the UAE and the Gulf.

“Investment in the Islamic hospitality sector is steadily increasing in the region. At the same time, there is a significant lack of qualified and trained personnel for the specialised management and operation of such hotels. As a pioneer in Islamic hospitality, the new entity aims to bridge this gap and provide accurate market research, training and hotel management, among other services,” said Nasser Lootah, a director of the group and chief executive of the hotel management company.

Lootah Group owns and operates the Al Jawhara group of hotels and apartments, the first Islamic hospitality venture in the UAE, established in 1979. It caters to the privacy and family-oriented needs of Gulf society while adhering to international hospitality standards and best practice. “The fact that the hotel not only attracts Muslims but also non-Muslims indicates that Islamic hospitality is gaining popularity with those who prefer quality services provided in a calm atmosphere commensurate with family values,” said Hani Lashin, general manager of Jawhara Hotels.
