Adventure World project begins in May
Abu Dhabi theme park set to open in 2014
Peter Jan Mulder, CEO of Adventure World, revealed the cost of Adventure World Abu Dhabi — an 80 hectare park — during an interview with Gulf News.
He said that the park, which is expected to attract three million visitors every year, will begin soon and include a number of hospitality, entertainment and retail outlets.
"The construction of Adventure World Abu Dhabi will commence in May 2012 and is expected to be completed in spring 2014," Mulder said.
"It will consist of the theme park, two hotels, an aqua park and the entertainment area with restaurants," he added.
The park will combine a theme park with over 25 attractions. It is being built in partnership and collaboration with Adventure World Poland and a German company.
Vekoma Rides Manufacturing, Jora Vision and AGS Architects are involved in the project.
