Dubai: The St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi is gearing up for an influx of travellers from the UAE and the rest of the GCC this summer, it said in a statement on Sunday.

Residents increasingly prefer staycations, as they are more affordable than trips abroad, according to the statement.

St Regis guests can have access to the resort’s three outdoor pools and private beach, a spa, as well as a 3500 square metre St. Regis Athletic Club.

The resort also offers tailored packages that provide families different activities outside the resort grounds, ranging from rides at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld, to learning more about falconry.

Guests can also have access to a retail and entertainment complex called “The Collection”, which includes shops and restaurants in proximity to the resort.

St Regis has 30 luxury hotels and resorts across the world, and plans to expand in Abu Dhabi, Amman, Cairo and Dubai.
