Sharjah: The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) organised a new Gulf promotional tour that included a number of cities in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, from October 1 to 4. Meetings were held with tourism industry professionals and representatives of major travel and tourism companies. Out of the 200,000 GGC guests welcomed to Sharjah’s hotel establishments, Saudi guests made up the largest number with 71,000 visitors. Gulf residents accounted for 23 per cent of the total nationalities staying in the emirate’s hotel establishments during the first half of 2017.
