Sharjah: A high-level delegation from Sharjah, led by Shaikh Sultan Bin Ahmad Al Qasimi, chairman of Sharjah Media Centre, began its participation on Sunday at the third UAE-Korea Economic Partnership Forum, held in the South Korean capital Seoul. The event is on until Tuesday.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the forum aims to build on the relations between the two countries and allow for the opportunity to generate greater economic interaction and investment opportunities for the participants.

Sharjah’s participation is organised by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), and includes Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), Sharjah Healthcare City, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Sharjah Media Centre, in addition to the participation of more than 100 private and government entities from the UAE.

Al Qasimi said: “Our participation in the UAE-Korea Economic Partnership Forum is of great importance as it allows us the opportunity to demonstrate Sharjah’s economic environment and, therefore, strengthen our existing ties and build new bridges of cooperation on a global scale.”

He also emphasised that the directives of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, had brought about Sharjah’s stable and steadfast economic growth. This is manifested in Sharjah’s annual gross domestic product of Dh72 billion, which creates a productive economic climate for foreign investments, Al Qasimi added.
