MoUs with UnionPay and Tuniu aim to boost Chinese tourist numbers to Dubai
Dubai: The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism) has formed strategic partnerships with two of China’s biggest industry players in Shanghai last week, according to a statement on Tuesday.
Issam Kazim, chief executive of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commercial Marketing, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with bankcard association UnionPay, agreeing to collaborate on marketing initiatives.
He also signed an MoU with Tuniu, one of China’s biggest online leisure travel service platforms, which is aimed at further facilitating Chinese tourism to Dubai.
