Dubai: LuLu has opened its 10th store in Oman and its 95th in the region with a new supermarket in Oman's Nizwa Mall.

LuLu has embarked on an aggressive growth plan with plans to have 100 stores by the end of the year, according to Yousuf Ali M.A., managing director of the LuLu Group.

"This growth has been impressive, considering that in a span of 10 years, we have more than 10 stores in the sultanate. We are indeed on track to meet our set targets," he said.

The 200,000 square foot LuLu Hypermarket is located in the new Nizwa Mall constructed by the LuLu Group and it will have a food court, restaurants, coffee shops, children's amusement area and more than 70 branded stores.

The LuLu Group's investments are spread all over the Gulf, including Egypt and Yemen. It dominates 32 per cent of the retail hypermarket sector in the Middle East.

Yousuf Ali said that the group's expansion plans have not been affected by the global financial crisis.
