Dubai: The final curtain will fall on the six weeks of summer sales across Dubai’s shopping malls this weekend, and bargain hunters can expect further price reductions on a variety of merchandise, organisers have announced.
The UAE’s shopaholics and occasional spenders have been treated to a mega sales frenzy since the annual Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) began in July 1, and every week, they have seen discounts on top of discounts being offered at select stores.
This time, when the grand finale of the shopping event rolls around, mall visitors are in for a treat when they shop at popular department stores such as Harvey Nichols, Bloomingdale’s, Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, Le 66 Concept Store, Le BHV Marais and Salam Stores.
Consumers are promised that items at these stores, as well as other outlets of participating brands, will be marked down even further, providing budget spenders the last chance to stock up on the latest clothes, gadgets and home items.
The grand finale will be on August 10 to 12, and that’s when heavier discounts can be had. “Bid goodbye to six weeks of summer sales in Dubai with one final extravaganza,” an announcement from DSS reads.
“Participating brands are offering additional discounts and offers for the very last time this summer, so you can purchase items that have long been on your wish list.”
