Dubai: The Fujairah Mall — conceived as the emirate’s biggest shopping and leisure venue — is set for an opening in September.

“We have spent months in the planning stages to ensure we deliver first-class retail and entertainment experiences for people of Fujairah and visitors from outside the emirate,” said Khalifa Al Nuaimi, the Owner’s Representative.

The 35,000 square metres of retail space is spread over two floors. Retail groups Azadea, Chalhoub Group and Apparel have signed deals for multiple stores, some for the very first time in Fujairah. The development also houses a four-star Millennium Hotel, which is already operational.

Of the 160 shops, 80 per cent are already leased.

The Mall, designed by ACG, is managed by ASWAQ Management and Services. The latter is a joint venture between La Société des Centres Commerciaux, Shaikh Mohammad Bin Suroor Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, and Nasser Al Nowais. The company’s portfolio includes Abu Dhabi Mall, Bawabat Al Sharq Mall, Avenue at Etihad Towers and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Plaza in the capital city.

Fujairah Mall is located on Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Highway at the gateway to the city, opposite the Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque and next to Fujairah Airport. It will form the heart of the Fujairah Commercial Complex.
