Dubai Financial Market (DFM) said on Tuesday the net investments from institutional investors stood at Dh2.2 billion, accounting for 30 per cent of trading activity.

The DFM will organise its International Investor Roadshow in London on of May 17-18, as senior representatives from 16 companies listed on DFM and Nasdaq Dubai will update London-based international fund managers on their respective companies’ growth strategies as well as most recent developments, the bourse said in an emailed statement.

“DFM is at the forefront of main destinations for foreign investors looking to access Middle East capital markets. We have pioneered the concept of investor roadshows among regional exchanges since 2007. Such events have achieved tremendous success in attracting liquidity due to its effective role in strengthening the links between our listed companies and international investors”, Essa Kazim, Chairman of DFM said.

Foreign investors in general are actively participating in the DFM’s trading activity and they have accounted for 45 per cent of its trading value in 2016.
