Emaar Properties said on Thursday its board approved submitting a proposal to the Annual General Mmeeting (AGM) to distribute partial special dividend from the proceeds received by selling its stake in Emaar Development.

The company plans to give Dh1.002 billion as special dividend representing 14 per cent of the share capital or 14 fils per share, which was the remaining tranche of the special dividend paid in January.

The company had earlier distributed a special dividend of 42 fils per share in January, amounting to Dh3 billion. However, no details of the annual dividend were disclosed.

The AGM will also discuss to adopt the employees incentives plan, the company said in a statement posted on Dubai Financial Market’s website.

The annual general meeting will be held on April 22. Emaar Properties shares closed 2.97 per cent lower to Dh5.89.
