Abu Dhabi: The total number of investors on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) reached 961,000 by the end of the first half of 2017, with a total of 2,276 investor numbers issued by the bourse during the same period.
Of the total numbers issued during the first half of 2017, 2,020 were for individuals and 256 were for institutions. Up to 1,173 numbers were issued for UAE nationals, 93 for GCC nationals, 455 for Arab nationals, and 555 for other nationalities. Additionally, 209 new numbers were issued for foreign institutions during the same period.
Total trading value by UAE investors stood at Dh29.5 billion, followed by other nationalities at Dh15.9 billion; Arab nationals at Dh6.5 billion, and GCC nationals at Dh4.4 billion.
The market capitalisation of listed companies on the ADX stood at Dh455 billion, of which the share of domestic companies was Dh425 billion.
